The Force Geophysical Methods group invites you to a 1½ day workshop on Seismic Interference. The workshop will be held on September 20th and 21st at Måltidets Hus in Stavanger.

The technical specifications generally used in the industry for seismic surveys are very conservative and do not take into account the processing solutions proposed in the literature to attenuate the noise related to seismic interference. As a consequence, seismic crews are very often forced to time share unnecessarily, increasing the duration and cost of surveys in areas where the acquisition windows are already restricted by weather conditions and fishing activity.

The Force Geophysical Methods committee would like to use this workshop to develop awareness in the industry of the solutions available to reduce time sharing and initiate collaboration between operators and contractors.
