The FORCE Geophysical methods group would like to invite submission of presentations for a one-day seminar on “Practical rock physics and inversion for Exploration and Production”.

The seminar will be held the 17th of October in the Valhall Auditorium at the NPD offices in Stavanger.

Practical Rock Physics and Inversion for Exploration and Production

The topics to be covered include:

-       Rock physics based AVO

-       Pitfalls in rock physics

-       Burial history and depth trends in rock physics

-       Seismic rock physics for source rock characterization

-       Data limitations and quality of input data

-       Inversion methodologies

-       Uncertainty in rock physics and inversion

 

The committee encourages presenters to focus on case studies and practical aspects of rock physics and inversion. The workshop will be a mix of talks relevant for both exploration and development/production.

Deadline for submittal of presentation title, author name and brief summary of talk is 11th of August 2017.
